Agreement
By using Bellwork — the website, web application, API, and AI assistant operated by Noah VanSickle (doing business as Bellwork) — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
In this document, "Bellwork", "we", "us", or "our" means Bellwork and Noah VanSickle as the operator. "You" or "your" means the person or organization using the Service.
Who can use Bellwork
You may use Bellwork if:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You can form a legally binding contract under applicable law.
- If you're signing up on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
- You are not barred from receiving services under U.S. law or the laws of your jurisdiction.
Bellwork is intended for business and professional use. Don't use the Service for personal, non-professional purposes that fall outside its stated function.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that happens on your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access at hello@bellwork.ai.
Don't share your account, sublicense your access, or let others log in with your credentials. Each user needs their own account.
The Service
Bellwork provides searchable intelligence on U.S. K-12 schools and districts — directory data, public assessment results, operational signals, and an AI assistant that answers questions and drafts outreach using that data.
We are continually improving Bellwork. Features may change, improve, or be removed. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime, response time, or service level unless we have agreed to one in a separate written contract.
Plans, credits, and billing
Bellwork is offered on a credit-based model. You may purchase a subscription that includes a monthly credit allowance and/or purchase one-time credit packs.
- Subscription credits reset at the start of each billing period.
- Credit-pack credits roll over and don't expire.
- Billing. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown at checkout until you cancel. Cancel any time from settings.
- Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Refunds. Charges are generally non-refundable. We will issue refunds when required by law or, at our discretion, in cases of clear service failure. Contact us at hello@bellwork.ai.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By providing payment details you also agree to Stripe's terms.
Acceptable use
While using Bellwork, you agree not to:
- Bulk-scrape, mirror, redistribute, or resell Bellwork's data or outputs to third parties.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, models, or proprietary structure of the Service.
- Use the Service to send spam, harass anyone, or run outreach campaigns that violate the CAN-SPAM Act, TCPA, GDPR, or any other applicable law.
- Use Bellwork's outputs to make consequential decisions about individuals — including hiring, lending, insurance, housing, or anything else regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) or analogous laws. Bellwork is not a consumer reporting agency and its outputs are not consumer reports.
- Use Bellwork's outputs to train, fine-tune, or evaluate a competing AI model, dataset, or product.
- Interfere with, probe, or stress-test the Service except via sanctioned mechanisms (rate-limit-respecting API use is fine; denial-of-service attempts are not).
- Misrepresent yourself, your organization, or your authority to use the Service.
- Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
Your inputs
You own what you submit to Bellwork — the prompts you write, the searches you run, the lists and notes you create. By submitting inputs, you grant Bellwork a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display those inputs as necessary to operate the Service and provide outputs back to you and your organization.
We don't use your inputs to train our own models, and our AI subprocessors are configured (per their API terms) not to train their models on your inputs either.
AI outputs
Bellwork's AI assistant produces outputs that may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Treat AI-generated answers, drafts, and summaries as a starting point — verify before relying on them for any decision that matters.
You're responsible for how you use the outputs, including any outreach drafted with our help. We don't endorse any specific recipient or message.
Our intellectual property
Bellwork — the brand, the website, the application code, the reference dataset (in the form, structure, and aggregation we produce), and the look and feel — is our property and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in line with these terms and your plan.
You may use Bellwork's outputs internally and in your own outreach and analysis. You may not bulk-export the underlying data and redistribute it as your own product. If you're unsure whether what you want to do is allowed, ask us.
Third-party services
Bellwork integrates with services like Stripe, Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI. Your use of those integrations is also subject to the respective providers' terms. We are not responsible for the performance, availability, or content of third-party services.
Disclaimers
Bellwork is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade.
We don't guarantee that the data is accurate, complete, or current. Public-records sources change, schools rename and reorganize, and extraction is imperfect. You're responsible for verifying anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Bellwork will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we've been advised of the possibility.
Bellwork's total cumulative liability for all claims arising out of or related to these terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid Bellwork in the twelve months immediately preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bellwork (and Noah VanSickle as the operator) from any claim, loss, damage, or expense — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising out of (i) your use of the Service in violation of these terms or applicable law, (ii) your inputs or any content you provide, or (iii) any outreach or decisions you make using outputs from the Service.
Termination
You can stop using Bellwork and cancel your subscription at any time from settings. We can suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you've breached these terms, abused the Service, or created legal or security risk for us or other users. We'll make a good-faith effort to give you notice when we do.
On termination, the sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and notify you by email. Continuing to use the Service after the change means you accept the new terms. If you don't accept them, stop using the Service.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to that jurisdiction and venue.
Miscellaneous
These terms are the entire agreement between you and Bellwork regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign these terms without our written consent; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a sale of the business.
